Plantyn develops and distributes educational works for teachers, in addition to educational material for students and their parents. Plantyn also develops support tools specific to the management of educational establishments. The publishers are present in Flanders and in the French-speaking community of Belgium. Our objective is to maximise the opportunities of all our learners by taking into account the individual interests of each one. Our wish is also to allow teachers to work in the best possible conditions by offering them quality educational tools. We are convinced that learning can be done in a pleasant and contemporary environment. That?s what we want to make clear in our motto ?aimer apprendre? (?love to learn?). Founded in 1987 and based in Louvain-la-Neuve, at the heart of the university city, Academia is a publishing house specialising in human sciences being at the top. Its catalogue now consists of more than 800 titles, aimed at a varied public : professionals, teachers, researchers, students and those passionate about learning.
In 2011, the publishers have been consolidated by the group Harmattan. New authors came to enrich the catalogue, and new collections were created. In the digital era, Academia has also reviewed its techniques of production and offers, from now, its titles in both paper and digital versions.
In this dynamo of development, les éditions Academia opened itself to literature by creating two collections : Littératures and Livres Libres. These collections welcome fictional texts of all styles (witness accounts, detective novels, fantasy?).

Zones Sensibles is a Belgian publishing house, based in Brussels and specialised in the sciences of men (and also benefiting from 15 years of experience in the publishing world).
?Sciences of men? here refers to a vast field of studies relating to the human in various guises (social, artistic, political, cultural v. natural etc.), a field which touches upon anthropology just as much as graphic novels, cultural studies as well as the history of medicine, the world of sound as well as the geographical world, urban environments as well as uninhabited ones.

Kate'Art Editions is a dynamic Belgian publishing house founded in 2000.
For almost 25 years, its mission has been to make art and culture accessible to the general public,
children and families. Kate'Art Editions sells its books and/or rights worldwide.
It has created several collections, including "Happy Museum!", which follows international cultural events in Europe and the United States,
and a collection of colouring books called "Color Zen".
Other children's books are another way of discovering culture.
Thanks to this new initiative, children have their own access to culture through a series of art books

The MADmusée (which stands for the Musée d'Art Différencié) is a museum of Art Brut Contemporain (Contemporary Brut Art) situated in Liège (B). Its mission is the conservation and promotion of works produced by mentally handicapped artists, in the context of a workshop and possessing an INTERNATIONAL COLLECTION composed of 2,500 works. In addition to conservation, study of its collection and the planning of TEMPORARY EXHIBITIONS, the MADmusée is developing two other fields of specific activities: an EDUCATIONAL SERVICE which involves cultural mediation which brings together awareness-raising theories and practises, and a CENTRE OF DOCUMENTATION, regarding the works of Brut Art and its ramifications. The centre is additionally composed of a specific, complete centre dedicated to non-conventional architectural projects.

Tandem was founded in 1974 and since them never stopped editing, distributing and exhibiting books and prints. Its catalogue praises some well-known names of current creation: Bogdan Borcic, Pierre Caille, Antonio Segui, Jo Delahaut, Lismonde, Cees Andriessen, etc.

Publishing is one of the fundamental aims of the Royal Academy of Belgium. It publishes the works of its members, and of the most celebrated researchers.
The principal publications are the Bulletins, Mémoires and various collections, as well as the Annuaire, which contains administrative facts and figures concerning the Institutions and biographical notes on deceased members. These notes have been digitalised and are accessible.
In addition, on the 25th September 2012, the Academy launched a new collection: ?L?Académie en poche? (The Academy in Pocket Version). This collection aims to reflect new, interdisciplinary perspectives, with educational points, halfway between synthesis and reflection and the personal reflection of the author. All in all, it aims to share knowledge and tackle subjects which are likely to feed debates in society, in all areas. Two volumes are planned for each month.
