The publishing house of the CIVA (Centre International pour la Ville et l'Architecture et le Paysage) specialises in architecture – Belgian and international –in urban and rural settings. It offers – on its own or as part of a co-publication, in one or several languages – beautiful books dedicated to contemporary and emerging architecture but also the great figures of the 20th century, as well as exhibition catalogues. CIVA Editions are also developing several collections, one of which, ‘Ville et architecture’, highlights the architectural heritage of cities such as Riga, Lviv, Krakow, Brussels and its engineering heritage, and more recently, Kinshasa. The CIVA also wants to reflect the variety of contemporary practices within the field of architecture in the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles (the Jeunes Architectures collection).
